Books created by Our Family Memories will be unique volumes containing whatever stories and images* you want to share with your family and friends.

We now offer two sizes of book – standard and premium. Both options are produced in hardback:

Standard books are the size of a typical novel – six inches wide by nine inches tall (about 15cm by 23cm).

Premium books are small ‘coffee table’ size – eight and a quarter inches wide by 11 inches tall (about 21cm by 28cm).

Other sizes are possible upon request. See also our basic option below.

The cost of your book will depend on the size, how much you want in it and the amount of work involved. However, we have some guide prices below.

*As well as photographs, we can scan and include other documents and memorabilia.

Price guide

These prices are based on the time spent on interviews, the number of pages and the quantity of words and photographs (or other images) in the book.

The first price is for a standard size book, the second is for the premium.

BOOK OPTIONS

Simple – £900 or £1,100: Up to 8 hours of interviews, up to 60 pages, up to 12,000 words and 40 pictures.

Medium – £1,200 or £1,500: Up to 12 hours of interviews, up to 90 pages, up to 16,000 words and 60 pictures.

Extended – £1,500 or £1,900: Up to 16 hours of interviews, up to 120 pages, up to 20,000 words and 80 pictures.

For all book options you can add more interviews and photos later if required. These will cost as follows:

• More interviews – £80/hour: Each extra hour of interviews will cost another £80.
• More photos – £60/10: Each additional 10 photos/images will cost another £60.

BASIC OPTION

Basic – £500: Up to 8 hours of interviews. No pictures included. Please note: this option is printed on A4 paper and presented in a folder, together with a digital copy of the document.

GIFT CERTIFICATES

Don’t forget, if you are thinking of commissioning a book for a friend or family member, we can produce appropriate gift certificates for any of the above options.

Just let us know if it is for a birthday or some other event and we can create a special certificate that can be sent by post or email. There is no additional charge for this service.

COPIES OF YOUR BOOK

For each book option, you’ll get two copies included in the price.

Extra copies can be purchased whenever you want. (You don’t have to order them all when the book is first produced.)

The exact price will depend on the number of pages in your book but standard books generally cost £15-20 each, while premium books are normally £20-25 each. Postage and packaging will be extra.
